Can SPRIselect beads be replaced with AMPure beads?

Answer:
The use of SPRIselect beads (Beckman, #B23318) or VAHTS DNA Clean Beads (Vazyme, #N411) is strongly recommended.

AMPure beads have not been validated in this workflow and may result in inconsistent or suboptimal performance.

If substitution is necessary, users must independently validate:

  • Fragment size selection performance 
  • Bead-to-sample ratio optimization 

When substituting, AMPure beads should be used at a 1:1 volume ratio relative to SPRIselect beads.
