What should I do if the aqueous phase appears cloudy instead of evenly pink?
Release date : Jan 17,2026
Possible Cause:
- Incomplete demulsification due to insufficient mixing between the Demulsion Agent and the emulsion
Recommended Solution:
- Perform a second demulsification:
- Add additional Demulsion Agent to the cloudy mixture.
- Let it stand at room temperature for 2 min.
- Gently invert the tube twice (avoid vigorous shaking).
- Allow it to rest again and check for clear phase separation. The aqueous phase should appear uniformly pink.
- If the solution remains cloudy, discard the sample and repeat the experiment.
