What should I do if the aqueous phase appears cloudy instead of evenly pink?

Release date : Jan 17,2026

Possible Cause:

  • Incomplete demulsification due to insufficient mixing between the Demulsion Agent and the emulsion

Recommended Solution:

  • Perform a second demulsification:
  1. Add additional Demulsion Agent to the cloudy mixture.
  2. Let it stand at room temperature for 2 min.
  3. Gently invert the tube twice (avoid vigorous shaking).
  4. Allow it to rest again and check for clear phase separation. The aqueous phase should appear uniformly pink.
  5. If the solution remains cloudy, discard the sample and repeat the experiment.
